The multi-award winning Ashton-under-Lyne Market is one of the busiest and most popular in the North West region of the United Kingdom.

The outdoor market is open seven days a week, with a flea market on Tuesdays and on the last Sunday in the month Ashton hosts the North West’s biggest and best ‘Farmers and Producers’ market with all items fresh and grown locally.

At the Farmers’ market you are able to try the products and you can have free samples from some of the traders. The range of products on offer is mouth watering they include Venison, Beef, Preserves, Vegetables, Home Baking, Roast Hog, Cheeses and Honey, the choice is simply fantastic.

The indoor market – open six days a week – has an amazing range of quality goods including good old favourite sweets of yesteryear, bedding, gifts, clothing, food, baby wear and dry cleaners.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our traders, many of whom themselves are award-winners in their own field. We have a renowned sandwich deli – Williams – voted Tameside’s Best Bakers and Confectioners in 2016 and Wendy and Mandy’s Café – voted the best café in the borough in 2016. Pearson’s Butchers have also won numerous awards for their delicious and tasty sausages.

Judged the ‘UK’s Greenest Market’ in 2013 and 2014, Ashton is a friendly and welcoming destination for shoppers of all ages and the market won the ‘Coach Friendly Shopping Destination Award in 2015’ as well as being a finalist in 2016.
