he beautiful Peak District town of Bakewell has had a market since 1330. The town's Livestock and Stall Markets continue to attract tourists and visitors, as well as providing an essential service to the local community.

The Monday market located on Granby Road and the Market Place, in the heart of the town, boasts over 100 stalls and operates between 9am and 4pm approximately.

At the market you will find market staples such as Fruit & Veg, Bread, Cheese, Fudge Olives, Cakes. An example of other items on offer are Rugs, Tools, Ladies Fashion, China, Purses and Handbags, Mobile Phone Accessories, Jewellery, Scarves, Socks, Household, Stationery, Books, Spanish Pottery, Pet Food, Antiques and Collectables, Leather Belts, Soap, Lingerie, Menswear, Plants and Fresh Flowers, Kitchen Knives and Scissors, Cosmetics, Towels, Bedding, Giftware and Hot Food & Beverages.

Ample car and coach parking is available at the Agricultural Business Centre, which is close to the town centre.

In addition to the popular Monday stall market, Derbyshire Dales District Council operates one of the largest farmers' markets at Bakewell Agricultural Business Centre monthly, usually on the last Saturday of the month.

Ashbourne Thursday Market. Ashbourne's Thursday Market takes place on Shrovetide Walk, between Shawcroft Car Park and the library -9am to 2pm (approx). The market is operated by one of the traders.
